Robertson Construction

Project – Institute of Genetics and Cancer, University of Edinburgh

What was the Shading Challenge?

We had the opportunity to work alongside Robertson Construction at the new University of Edinburgh’s Institute of Genetics and Cancer on their new expansion of the Western General Hospital Campus. The 2,000m2 project tasked Robertson Construction Central East to deliver a £12m 4D Cellular Medicine Building. The five-storey building allows scientists to investigate cells, genetics and diseases and in particularly how cancer can be treated and cured through creating complex data using artificial intelligence.

What was our Shading Solution?

This fit out included working in partnership with Silent Gliss to supply and install seventy-seven System 4910 Roller Blinds and with our effective communication throughout with Robertsons, all blinds were successfully manufactured and installed to allow Robertson to successfully handover to building to Edinburgh University.
